One of the main events organized by the ASO is the annual Africa Night, which is a cultural showcase that features traditional music, dance, and fashion from different African countries. This event attracts a large number of students and community members and provides an opportunity for people to learn about and appreciate African culture.

The ASO also provides academic and professional development opportunities for its members. The organization hosts workshops and seminars on topics such as study abroad programs, career opportunities in Africa, and the challenges faced by African students in higher education. Through these events, the ASO aims to support its members in achieving their academic and professional goals.

In addition, the ASO is involved in community service and outreach initiatives, such as volunteering at local schools and community organizations, that are focused on promoting cultural awareness and understanding. These initiatives provide members with the opportunity to give back to their community and make a positive impact.
